J. Carmon Photography bio picture

Hi there!  Welcome to my blog,  I am so glad you can take a moment to check things out. Whether you are a current or future client, family member, or friend, I hope you can learn a little bit more about me through this blog.

My most recent work will always be found here.  Please subscribe to the blog or check here often.

Okay, a little about me.  I love what I do.  I am blessed with three beautiful daughters and a VERY supportive husband.

I love to travel and my idea of a perfect vacation is basking in the beautiful, warm sun.  I love German Chocolate cake (only my Mom's) and will NEVER pass up the mashed potatoes.

I am so lucky to be able to do what I love.  I have wonderful clients and feel so blessed that they allow me to capture such special moments for them.

I also LOVE hearing from visitors, so please, do not just stalk my blog, leave me some comment love.

Grandma is in town

I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family. Their grandmother was in town from California and wanted to get some photos of all of them together.

Jesse is home from Africa

Well, he is home safe and sound. Jesse is my cousin and has been in Africa for the last two years serving for the Peace Corp. He looks great and seems very happy to be home. I cannot wait to hear some of the stories and things that he experienced there.

Learning to be artists

When I get the chance to do something fun and creative with my kids, I really have fun. We were making artwork for their rooms by finger painting on canvas. My kids had a blast. I think they managed to get more paint on everything else but the canvas. While I was washing Kennedy’s hands, Peyton decided to put paint on her entire upper body. Can you imagine what it would be like to be a kid again?

Trip to the Wildlife Refuge

I went with the youth group of my church to the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge this afternoon and went on a little hike. If you have never been to this place, you should take the time to go. I was really surprised at how peaceful it was considering it is right off of Hwy 99. It was so serene and a great place to just clear your mind. It sprinkled on us just a little at the beginning but ended with a beautiful sunset. I have do not have alot of experience in landscape photography but I took my camera along tonight and got a couple of pictures.

Fun with Peyton

I warned you about this! I will be showing many posts of my children. I just love to try out new things on them. They are actually my hardest clients to capture. As soon as I bring out my camera, they get a mind of their own. Fortunetly, I was able to catch this image of Peyton which I just love.

Lots of smiles!

I was able to photograph Brock today. He is still as cute as ever! Look at his cheeks and his amazing dimples. Brock showed me his trucks and his bike and how he loves to sweep his new patio. He will be able to teach his new little brother how to play with all of these things when he gets here in a couple of months. Congratulations to their family.
