I just returned home from a fabulous trip with a bunch of amazing friends and photographers.  I have so much to show you but it will take me a couple of days.  Here are some images from my trip last year.   The Keys are very fun to visit, if you have not been I suggest you go soon!

Heather is a fabulous make up artist and stylist working in the Portland Metro area.  I love working with her on any kind of event as she is very personable, listens well and is hilarious.  Heather and I worked together at the Laura Mercier counter at Washington Square Nordstrom for several years.  If you need her services, I would totally recommend her, give her a call at 503.863.7433 or email her at heather@canvasbyheather.com 

I hope everyone is enjoying their spring break.  The cherry tree outside my office windows were begging to be shot.  Just starting to blossom.

I attended a lighting workshop with Craig Mitchelldyer on Wednesday with some of the girls from the Click Chicks.   We had so much fun meeting up, so much fun in fact, I did not even get a chance to sync to any off camera lighting.  I did get a chance to shoot  natural light on Nicole Wagner who was there to do make up for the models.  Thanks again to Craig for hosting a FREE lighting workshop to his fellow professionals, what a guy!!

Our 44th President has officially taken office.  What an amazing day.

Today is my Birthday. It turned out to be a wonderful day and many people made it great. I received flowers from my husband and lots of love from my children. I answered many calls from loving friends and family members. I felt special.

Tonight my parents stopped by with a gift. My mom had handmade a bag and in it were 30 things my mom loves about me. (Can you guess how old I am?!?!) I thought I would share. In no particular order.

1. I love the beauty you bring to everything you touch.

2. I love your sensitivity.

3. I love your generosity with your time and talents.

4. I love your smile.

5. I love being your friend.

6. I love seeing you in your children.

7. I love to watch you photograph.

8. I love the curl on your neck.

15. I love your spirit.

16. I love that you volunteer to photograph babies in need.

17. I love that you see beauty everywhere and especially in small things most people don’t notice.

18. I love to see you gently mother your children.

19. I love being a part of your life.

20. I love when you and Suzy (my sister) stay up late and get the giggles.

21. I love your laugh.

22. I love to see you pranking and loving your husband.

23. I love to see you compete.

24. I love bath time with you and your kids.

25. I love the care you put into making a beautiful and loving home.

26. I love to hear your voice when you talk with your newborn daughters.

27. I love your photos.

28. I love you disarming nature with everyone.

30. I love being your mom.

WOW! Just typing these reasons make me emotional. Thank you mom. I love your gift and will forever treasure the reasons why you love me. You made my 30th birthday extra special and I love you.
