I attended a lighting workshop with Craig Mitchelldyer on Wednesday with some of the girls from the Click Chicks. We had so much fun meeting up, so much fun in fact, I did not even get a chance to sync to any off camera lighting. I did get a chance to shoot natural light on Nicole Wagner who was there to do make up for the models. Thanks again to Craig for hosting a FREE lighting workshop to his fellow professionals, what a guy!!
Two of my new girlfriends, Missy and Melissa, posted some fun highlights from the day also. Please ignore me being a total goofball!

As promised, I am posting the winner of “Giving is Awesome” tonight.
After many heart tugging nominations the winner is…Nate and Lydia Bamford.

Here is a storyboard I put together for the Farris family of their newborn session. This can be a really great way to showcase your images. Ask me about your custom storyboard during your ordering process.

Give someone something special… Essential Imagery has set up this fantastic site Giving is Awesome and I wanted to share the love too.
You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $1000 worth, to be exact. It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a FREE session worth $250.00. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services.
* The nominee must reside in the Portland, Oregon area. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
* You must e-mail me the full story : jennicarmon@comcast.net
The winner will be announced on New Years Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
With love,
Jenni Carmon

I am back. Sorry for the lack of posting, not only is it the busiest time of year but I was gone in New York City photographing a wedding this last week. I had never been to the Big Apple before and I had the time of my life there with my good friend Michelle Young. The wedding was so beautiful and brought me memories to last a lifetime. I will post images after the New Year but wanted to let you know that I am still around just super busy. Thank you again for your business this year, I am excited to start a whole new one. If you are looking to book a session, I am currently booking for March.
Everyone always teases me that on my blog picture, I am hiding behind the camera. Well, I will admit, I love being behind the camera and not in front. Michelle and I spent several hours in Central Park photographing each other. We had such a great time and learned alot from each other. Here is one image she took of me there. Thanks Michelle!!

As all of my clients know, I am not one bit SERIOUS, in fact, normally you will find me with a big goofy smile but I really like this image.

Here is a snapshot from the visits received to my blog this week.
